False Investment Scam — Funds Partially Recovered Immediately

Our client believed he was investing his savings in an online platform recommended by contacts on social media. He was, in fact, the victim of a false investment scam. We acted immediately upon instruction, recovering a portion of the funds before the fraudsters could complete the transfer chain.

The scam

The client was approached on social media by individuals presenting themselves as successful traders. After preliminary contact, they directed him to a platform showing impressive simulated returns. He transferred his savings, only to discover the platform was fraudulent when any withdrawal request was met with technical pretexts and demands for further payments.

Immediate legal intervention

Within 24 hours of instruction, our team filed a criminal complaint and formally notified the payment intermediaries involved. We requested an emergency precautionary measure targeting the accounts through which the funds had been transferred. Because we acted before the full transfer chain was completed, a portion of the funds remained traceable and recoverable.

Result

A significant portion of the defrauded sum was recovered immediately. The criminal case against the perpetrators is ongoing. Our client received partial restitution and continues to be supported in the civil recovery action.
